As a sign of protest because of the relation of the Montenegrin Minister of Police towards the attack on the Representative of Parliament Jovanovic, SPP asked the Parliament not to work yesterday. The Parliament continues its work on Tuesday on the 7th November.

The Session of the Montenegrin Parliament which started and finished by the intervention of the SPP’s representatives as a sign of protest for the behaving of the minister of the Interior Affairs Vukasin Maras towards the case of attack on the RP Dusko Jovanovic. They asked the Parliament not to work yesterday.
- The Montenegrin Parliament cannot behave as nothing has happened. The least we can do regarding the attitude of the Minister of the Interior Affairs Vukasin Maras concerning the attack on the RP Dusko Jovanovic is to ask the Parliament not to work today, said the head of the DPP’s representatives, Prerag Bulatovic.
The representatives of SPP asked on Tuesday that until yesterday Minister Maras should show up in the Parliament and he should say what has been done to solve this case.
- It is useless to make these conversations when the parliament is ignored in this way, said Bulatovic.
RP of SPP Dragan Koprivica assessed that “the minister of Interior Affairs Vukasin Maras not just hasn’t show up in the Parliament of Montenegro but he hasn’t even answer the call”.
- This way he has pointed out that he does not care about the Montenegrin Parliament at all. If it is his attitude-ok, but it is very important for us that the public can see and hear this, said Koprivica.
Than he asked who else has to be beaten up in Montenegro to make the Parliament of Montenegro to speak about the security of the citizens of this republic.
- Minister Maras has to explain what is going on in Montenegro, actually who are these “black trios” who are beating people across the Republic, said Koprivica.
If there was any sense, he asked, to maintain the session of the Montenegrin Parliament, if its representatives were attacked in the dark entrances. The presiding vice president of the Parliament of Montenegro from the People’s Party, Predrag Popovic reminded that the president of the Parliament, Svetozar Marovic himself, on the last Assembly had asked to the responsible authorities to give some particular information on the case, but until today as he said there weren’t any statement except the statement of the Ministry of Interior Affairs of Montenegro.
According to his words, the Parliament of Montenegro has not legal authorities to give orders to any Minister to show up in the Parliament.
- It is all the question of the ministers’ consciousness, stated Popovic.
Than he ordered the pause until Tuesday, the 7th November, and called once again the minister of Interior Affairs Vukasin Maras to show up in the Parliament of Montenegro, and as he said, to reveal the information about the investigation regarding the attack on the representative Dusko Jovanovic, in front of the representatives and in front of the Montenegrin public.

TO REMOVE THE MINISTER OF POLICE

The representatives of SPP accuse the Minister of the Interior Affairs in the Government of Montenegro, Vukasin Maras to be the responsible, politically or with some other motivation, for the attack on the representative Dusko Jovanovic. We believe that even stronger after the statement of the Ministry of Interior Affairs of Montenegro regarding this case, claimed the vice president of SPP, Predrag Bulatovic.
He assessed the statement of the Ministry of Interior Affairs of Montenegro as “cowardly”.
- Only a political coward, as the Minister of Interior Affairs is, can say the lies like this from the distance, said Bulatovic. We are the witnesses, he added, that almost every Public Security Office is not immune on the “dirty jobs”. That’s why we don’t have a reason to believe that Vukasin Maras is the only “saint” in this world. We cannot believe in his “purity” because so many unsolved murders or attacks have happened as it was the attack on the owner of “Elmag Television”.
- We have a reason to believe that the special unit of Vukasin Maras is behind the attack on the representative Jovanovic. We will believe that until the Minister of Interior affairs comes to the Parliament and tells the names of the attackers, said Bulatovic. Than he said that “it is disgusting to ask the Maras’ resignation but that his party will be forced to do it”.
JOVANOVIC:
The attackers are resided in a police barrack in Zlatica.
I thought I wouldn’t personally talk about the attack, but after the statement of the Ministry of Interior Affairs of Montenegro I have the obligation to explain some things to the public, said Jovanovic.
- Right away after the attack, which was executed professionally by three unknown persons, and in which took part at least ten more people and three cars, someone from the building where I live called Ministry of Interior Affairs of Montenegro. They answered that I should personally come to the police station in Zabjelo and report the case. Fortunately, the policemen from the Federal Ministry of Interior Affairs came quickly and transported me to the hospital. An inspector of the Ministry of Interior Affairs of Montenegro arrived at the Urgent Centre and asked if I wanted to make a statement there or in the police station. I answered that I would make the statement and everything necessary immediately. I told him everything he asked me. On the next day another inspector came in my office and asked some additional information. Of course, I told him everything he wanted to know. In that way I am very surprised by the insinuating in the statement of the Ministry of Interior Affairs of Montenegro about “insufficient interesting of the victim for solving the case”, said Jovanovic.
He than asked if anyone was brought to in this case.
- The attack didn’t happen in the million people San Francisco but in small Podgorica, where at three o’clock we all know who has what for lunch at one o’clock, stated Jovanovic.
Why he made a statement in the hospital and not at the police station he explained as not believing in Ministry of Interior Affairs of Montenegro.
- I believe that behind the attack is the State Security Office. The organizers and those who executed the attack are situated in the police barrack of the Ministry of Interior Affairs in Zlatica. There is the special unit of the police for these purposes, he said.
Jovanovic then stated that he had no illusions that the Ministry of Interior Affairs of Montenegro would say who the attackers were.
- For this attack I accuse the Minister of Interior Affairs, Vukasin Maras, said Jovanovic.
Then he criticized the behavior of other representatives in the Parliament except the representatives of People’s Party, regarding the attack.
- You cannot only appeal. This parliament has the authority to say: “Mr. Maras you have seven days to find the attackers. If you don’t do that you will be removed”. However, they are not doing it, they are trying to hush up the case, said Jovanovic.
Then he stated that during the morning the day before, he visited the Security Center and asked to talk with the head.
- I was told that he wasn’t there, and the deputy told me to “wait for the head”. I only asked for the answer from the deputies- if anyone of them would or wouldn’t speak with me. One of them agreed and I asked the record about the attack, because eight days have passed since then. He asked me however according to which law I can ask for the record from him. So I am interested what else, as a citizen and as a representative of the Parliament I should do to make Ministry of Interior Affairs of Montenegro to recognize my interesting, said Jovanovic.
According to my information the Ministry of Interior Affairs of Montenegro is the only guilty in this case. That will be so until minister Maras say the names of the attackers.
