The establisher of the Foundation Dusko Jovanovic and co-owner of the daily Dan Mrs Slavica Jovanovic, attended and spoke at the gathering of Bavarian Journalists Association. The gathering, held at the Jewish community in Munich, saw as speakers: the president of Central Council of Jews Mrs Charlotte Knobloch, head of the Bavarian State Chancellery minister Thomas Kreuzer and the chairman of the Association of German journalists Mr Michael Konken.

Mr Milutinovic presented Mr Higgins with the cheque of 20,000.00 € and the gold coin with image of late Dusko Jovanovic, the only journalist murdered in Montenegro.

American journalist Mr Andrew Higgins received the First International Award of the Foundation Dusko Jovanovic last night. He expressed pride of being the first journalist who received the award established in memory of murdered editor and director of Dan.

On 27th May 2013 the Foundation DuskoJovanovic awarded the prizes for contribution and development of investigative journalism in Montenegro. On the ninth anniversary of the murder of Dan's editor-in-chief Mr DuskoJovanovic, the prizes were awarded to journalists of Dan and Vijesti TV Mr Marko Vesovic and Mr SeadSadikovic as well as to MANS Investigative Centre. On behalf of MANS Investigative Centre, the executive director of that NGO Mr DejanMilovacreceived the prize.
